Geothermal Logging Tool
650°F

This tool was developed for the Geothermal Industry and Scientific Community to allow surveillance of steam wells used in the generation of electricity. We have successfully logged wells with a bottom hole temperature of over 650 degrees F. This type of work is extremely demanding and must be taken very seriously. This is not a good senerio for a quick call job.

There is a significant effort involved in properly defining test objectives, equipment preparation, and determining the most cost effective method of data acquisition with the least economic exposure to us and the client. Each job must be considered unique due to the extreme environment in which this tool is designed to operate.

The Geothemal Tool crosses over nicely into the world of oil & gas for logging in the most hostile of environments. It contains all the sensors our other Slicklogger ® systems do with the exception of a capacitance (dielectric) probe. However, it is rarely needed in applications at its designed temperature range. The Delta Pressure calculations surfice for fluid identification in that realm.

While the tool has the capability to be run as a memory tool , it is most often used with e-line in a surface readout configuration.

Onboard diagnostics record systems failures to allow compensation of data while logging at these extremely high temperatures. This gives us a quality control base to cross reference acquired data to downhole events, rather than possible tool problems.
